Call for Applications for “Speranza e Coraggio” is open: we are Looking for Psychologists Psychotherapists for a Unique Project in Italy
With the official launch of the call for applications, the “Spertanza e Coraggio” project is now in full swing. Funded by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region through an extraordinary grant (Regional Law 8/2024), the project represents a concrete step towards offering free specialized psychological support to people affected by glioblastoma and other high-grade brain tumors, and their families.
We are looking for up to 18 mental health professionals ready to make a difference.
If you are a psychologist psychotherapist, or a third-year trainee with experience in psycho-oncology or neuropsychology, this call is for you. The project includes:
- A free 36-hour intensive training course, recognized by SIPO (Italian Society of Psycho-Oncology), spread over three weekends in September 2025.
- A nationwide online psychological support program, using the revamped Glioblastoma Navigator platform and Google Meet.
- Gross compensation of €30 for each of the minimum 100 sessions (expense reimbursement in accordance with regulations on specialized volunteering).
The sessions will be free for users, but they can make a huge difference in the lives of those facing one of the most difficult and complex diagnoses.
A professional and human opportunity
This is not just a commitment, but an opportunity to contribute concretely, through your skills, to a service that represents a national first. If all goes according to plan, training will begin in September, and the first services will be available in October 2025.
Deadline for applications: July 31, 2025
Consult the complete call for applications, verify the requirements, and submit your application via certified email (PEC) to glioblastoma.it@pec.csvfvg.it.
