RESULTS OF THE SELECTION FOR THE “HOPE AND COURAGE” PROJECT: 18 PSYCHOLOGISTS/PSYCHOTHERAPISTS ADMITTED TO THE COURSE

The Selection Committee for the “Speranza e Coraggio” call (established by Glioblastoma.IT ODV with the support of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region) met in August 2025 to evaluate applications for the role of specialized volunteer psychologists/psychotherapists. The process was conducted in accordance with the published call for applications and the evaluation criteria communicated to candidates.
The Committee (members: Roberto Pugliese — President of Glioblastoma.IT, Raffaela Olivotto — Vice President of Glioblastoma.IT ODV, Dr. Fabio Barban, Dr. Fabio Campanella, Dr. Daniela Tasinato) first defined and then applied the approved evaluation grid—which evaluates qualifications and training, professional experience, and availability/commitment, for a maximum overall score of 100 points—assigning scores independently and discussing any uncertainties before finalizing the ranking. Up to 18 candidates have been admitted to the selection process. They will participate in the intensive training course (36 hours remotely) and, upon successful completion, will perform the activities envisaged in the project.
Course dates (mandatory for the start of the activity):

  • September 12–13, 2025 — first session;
  • September 19–20, 2025 — second session;
  • September 26–27, 2025 — third session.

List of admitted candidates (18) — alphabetical order as per the minutes of the Commission:

Irene Baronchelli, Antonella Barbaro, Elena Burattini, Giulia Agostinelli, Laura Cotti, Sara De Giuseppe, Monica Fantini, Desirè Franco, Nunzia Giordano, Mariastella Mezzapesa, Bianca Milocco, Anna Maria Pacorini, Ludovica Riccato, Chiara Spadafora, Eva Francesca Sponton, Sara Stefanelli, Elena Tomasella, Giada Zucchini.

The commission then decided to establish a waiting list for candidates who obtained a sufficient score but lower than that of the selected candidates. Candidates on the waiting list will be able to participate in the intensive training course and, upon successful completion of the training, will be able to perform the activities envisaged by the project in the event of withdrawal by the admitted candidates.

List of candidates on the waiting list (2) — alphabetical order as per the minutes of the commission:
Elena Cacciari, Federica Gallo.

Candidates who, despite having applied, were not included in the previous lists will be able to participate in the training course upon submitting a justified request. However, they will not be considered for the activities envisaged by the project.

Admitted candidates and those on the waiting list will be contacted by email to confirm participation in the mandatory training course and to complete the administrative formalities relating to their tax status (VAT number or occasional service contract) as required by the call for applications. Full participation in the course (36 hours) is a prerequisite for initiating the psychological support activities envisaged by the project.

For maximum transparency, the final ranking and the scores assigned to each candidate are available upon request for access to the documents. For information or formal requests, please contact the secretariat at the certified email address indicated in the call for applications or at the relevant email address.

We thank all candidates for their interest and for the numerous applications submitted. The “Hope and Courage” project continues with the goal of offering free specialist support to patients with brain tumors and their caregivers throughout Italy.
