VIDEO CONFERENCE “PNEI AND TUMORS: ANTI-CANCER MOLECULES IN THE HUMAN BODY”

The video conference dedicated to Psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology (PNEI) and the role of molecules produced by our body in the fight against tumors, with particular reference to glioblastoma, was successfully held. The meeting, which was attended live by approximately 40 people, was introduced by Roberto Pugliese (Glioblastoma.it) and featured presentations by Dr. Dino Ceppodomo (biologist expert in nutrition and PNEI) and Dr. Alberto Gramaglia (radiation oncologist).

The following points were explored during the video conference:

  • Definition of PNEI: The discipline that studies the integration of the nervous, endocrine, and immune systems, demonstrating how emotions and states of consciousness influence health through chemical mediators.
  • The Pineal Gland: Defined as the “conductor” of the endocrine system. The production of melatonin and its metabolites (such as 5-methoxytryptamine) has a direct antitumor effect and strengthens the immune system.
  • Oxidative Stress and Inflammation: The role of free radicals and microRNAs as molecular switches that can promote or inhibit tumor growth depending on lifestyle and diet.
  • Cytokines and Immunity: The importance of the relationship between IL-2 (antitumor) and IL-17 (protumor) and how the natural endocannabinoid system can positively modulate it.
  • Supplementation in Glioblastoma: Presentation of studies in which the addition of melatonin, cannabinoids (CBD/CBG), and angiotensin 1-7 to the standard protocol improved treatment tolerability and one-year survival rates.

In the second part of the conference, experts answered questions on:

  • Lifestyle: The positive influence of well-being and spirituality on immune defenses.
  • Nutrition: The importance of reducing sugar and salt intake to limit insulin, a known growth factor for tumor cells.
Supplementation: The role of Boswellia (frankincense) as an anti-inflammatory and Metformin for metabolic control, always as a support and never as a replacement for standard oncology therapies.

For those unable to attend or wishing to delve deeper into the technical details of the protocols presented, the video recording is available below.

In the hope that more and more people will become long-term survivors and that sooner or later we will be able to make high-grade gliomas curable, to all of you, happy viewing!
