Meningiomas, Low-Grade Gliomas and Glioblastoma: News in the Therapeutic Field

It is with great pleasure that I announce the second video conference of 2025 in which we will talk about Meningiomas, Low-Grade Gliomas and Glioblastoma and the new developments in the therapeutic field. This is certainly a topic of great interest for patients, caregivers and also specialists in the sector. The video conference will see the participation of Dr. Giuseppe Lombardi, an oncologist specialized in brain tumors who currently works at the Istituto Oncologico Veneto (IOV) in Padua as head of the Simple Neuro-Oncology Unit. Dr. Lombardi deals with the medical treatment of cancer patients, in particular with brain tumors, conducts clinical and translational research on biomarkers and new therapies for brain gliomas and is Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator in over 20 clinical studies on brain tumors and hepatocellular carcinoma. Dr. Lombardi received the 2019 “Marco Venturini” Award as best young Italian oncologist for the REGOMA study on the efficacy of Regorafenib in patients with recurrent glioblastoma and is a member of AIOM, EORTC Brain Tumors, AINO, ASCO, EANO, ESMO and author of over 120 scientific publications and speaker at numerous international conferences.

The video conference will take place on Tuesday 15 July 2025 from 18:00 to 19:00. The event, the thirteenth in the series, will take place in the usual way: it will open with a very short presentation of the volunteer organization Glioblastoma.IT ODV and its activities, followed by the speaker’s speech and will end as usual with a session open to participants dedicated to questions and answers.
